PaPaSeat portable child bike seat experience
4 October 2018
This review is for PaPaSeat child bike seat. Thank you MomPacker for providing this product for me. This is also my first time reviewing. Living now in Europe, I’m happy to have the opportunity to review a product made in my hometown.
Finally, on a certain day, the postman brought this exciting little gift. I cannot believe it contains a bike seat
within this little box the size of a briefcase.
On top of the box also has a cute cartoon print.
The box contains PaPaSeat, seat belt and instruction manual.
Let’s take a
look in detail of PaPaSeat. I like the
pure white and bright green combination.
Personally, it doesn’t matter what color of bicycle I’m riding the color
combination is nice. PaPaSeat design
seems simple, however, there are many details of its design such as U shaped
foot rest which seems like it can fit many bicycle types.
The frame
material used is strong aluminum alloy which I believe its very intuitive in
order to maintain stability. Most
shocking is it only weights 2.14 kg! The
handle bars and foot rest are all used from non-toxic materials and it can be
easily cleaned. The seat pad is made
with EVA material which is soft for child’s comfort.
I learned that the
material used for the frame is strong aluminum alloy frame. Because of the high quality of material will
allow structure stability and also light weight. Although the official website claims 2.14 kg,
according my actual measurement, It only has about 1.34 kg (see figure, the
scale is not broken!), and the entire product is only 1.83 kg including packaging.
The hand grip, foot pad and seat cushion are made of non-toxic materials, which
can be used safely by children and easy to clean. Unlike the grip, the cushion
part is made of EVA material, and the surface is softer and more elastic, which
improves the comfort of the child when riding.
The special
folding design allows PaPaSeat to fold flat.
Only 10 cm in thickness and only about 40 cm in length. The installation
process is especially simple, no tool needed and can be easily completed in
just 1 minute in just three steps. This greatly increases the mobility of the
use. Whether it is a bicycle in the home or a public bicycle that many people
use nowadays, they can be installed at any time and enjoy it instantly.
However, I feel that if I can attach a handbag or add a new design, it may be
more convenient in the course of action.
After a few tries,
I was able to install on my little red bike.
I love the beautiful contrast to my bike. When I first install PaPaSeat, my mother told
me to ride it by myself without my son in order to be sure of safety. Afterall, safety is the most important thing. Originaly, I had doubts about carrying my son
however after he got on I felt my son and I became one rider. My son climbed onto the seat naturally with
his hands and feet automatically positioned without any further instructions. His hands and feet were perfectly
placed. I also thought my vision will be
blocked but as you can see from the photo above it was perfect. It was truly a exciting moment riding with my
son that I even forgot to put on safety helmet! (Don’t imitate.)
As I continue to
ride, with each peddle we cannot help but be even more excited. My son and I were mesmerized by the entire
experience. My son kept on saying
non-stop that he’s riding a bicycling.
The best part of this experience is we bonded. We were able to see placed with the same view
point and experience the bike ride together.
Friendly reminder:
1. Please
confirm the bicycle model before use. Although it is suitable for most models,
there are still some models that cannot be installed, such as road bike and
mountain bikes.
2. Be sure to
read the manual before installation.
3. The adult
rider should get on first and then the child rider. For the safety of driving,
please wear a safety helmet. Please remember to use a seat belt for small
children.
