vividSandy PaPaSeat easy to install child bike seat review

Recently, when we go out we would take our folding bicycle, so we wanted to find a child bike seat that Lucie could sit on. The PaPaSeat bicycle seat for children was designed especially for that task so that parents can also ride along with their child. It is easy small and light, takes almost no space, and easy to install.  We love it when we first use it!

It’s super small and light, even a small child can take it. Every time she insists on taking it herself.  For toddler’s 2~5 years of age and below 20 kilograms (44 pounds).

Let me demonstrate how simple it is for me to install PaPaSeat on our folding bicycle.  No need for daddy for help.  Mommy can do it all by herself.

First of all extend both handle bar and foot rest then tighten the two screws in the center.  No tools are required at all.  It is very simple and easy to use.  There is no need to carry instruction manual with you.

After both screws are fastened it looks like this.

Install the quick release lock by fastening on the seat post.  At this time Lucie helped me to keep PaPaSeat in place in the front so it does not swing so I can focus on the quick release lock.  Again, no tools are necessary.  PaPaSeat is suitable for most city bicycles (step thru) and folding bicycles, however, it is not work well with road bike or mountain bikes because the child may not be comfortable because the adult rider is leaning forward.

After turning the screw cap then push down the fastener to secure.  The entire process did not take over 3 minutes on the first try.  It’s very fast and convenient.  Even assembling my folding bicycle took longer!

Yeah!  Ready to go!  Lucie loves to ride with us.  Other than riding in a big park she would ride her own skate board, in the city it is best that I take her.  Safety first!

It is important to note that adults must first sit on the bicycle and then hold the child onto the seat. Absolutely under no circumstances should the child be on the seat by him or herself.  To get off the seat, the child must be carried down first then the adult rider get off the bike.

PaPaSeat is designed by Mega Productions Co., Ltd.  Made in Taiwan.  Quality is very good!

Baby is happy!  Mommy and daddy are happy too!

Handle bars, foot rest : TPU
Seat pad: EVA

PaPaSeat is small and light, it doesn’t take up space.  Installation is super easy.  It can be used on bicycles in many countries when you travel.  Next time we go abroad, I have to take PaPaSeat, and rent a bicycle abroad to install it!

After installation the bicycle is very stable.

PaPaSeat passes numerous SGS independent testing, Taiwan ST safety standard, Europe CE and USA CPSIA standards.  It uses high quality aluminum alloy which are typically found on high end bicycle frames.  The soft EVA seat pad is made from environmental friendly materials and it’s comfortable to sit on.  The handle bars and foot pads are also made from environmental friendly materials.  I know!  The foot rest is very dirty.  I’ll wash it later!

PaPaSeat portable child bike seat review experience from UK mom and dad

UK Mom & Dad review experience with their kids with PaPaSeat.

Original post in Chinese by Mompacker.com.  Translated by Mega Productions for PaPaSeat.com.

Thank you Mompacker for making this review experience possible.
Previously for Taiwanese mom’s in England we’ve seen Taiwan companies selecting candidates for reviewing child bike seat.  I was so eager to be a participant.  However, seeing so many mothers signing up I felt the chances are slim.  But I figure this is a great opportunity for me.  After some times, I finally was notified for this selection!  From that day I was eagerly anticipating for the package to arrive.  Thank you Mompacker and PaPaSeat.

In our household the usual home improvement and installation is the job of my husband.  This is no exception.  Within 2 minutes he figured it out even a few glimpse at the instruction manual.  Within me, I felt proud being from Taiwan because PaPaSeat is designed and produced there.
UK’s weather is cloudy and sometimes unpredictable.  I began to pray for better weather so we can all go out and experience PaPaSeat for the first time.  We were fortunate that during this time of the year the weather is very nice and comfortable even during October and perfect for outdoor bicycling.  We installed PaPaSeat immediately set out for a national park near our home called Monsal Trail.  Monsal Trail is a perfect place to bicycling with kids because the terrain is relatively flat.  So we arrived at Hassop Station which has a wonderful coffee shop and book store as well as bicycle rental station.
Once we arrived at the parking lot, it’s no surprise that our kids can’t wait to try out PaPaSeat.  Even when PaPaSeat has not been installed they played with it!  Good thing it’s very well built that it can be another toy by itself!

PaPaSeat came with two plastic protector strips to prevent scratches against our bicycle frame.  However, we did not use them.  Also, we were provided with a canvas seat belt which can be worn by adult and child together preventing the child from fall.

The handle bars and foot fat were soft and comfortable.  Our younger son has a VIP seat which allows him to have the best ride and view.  As you can see from the photo, we’ve also installed a tag-along.  Yeah!  Off we go! Because I have to be responsible for taking photos so my husband was in charge of modeling.  I could tell my son was so happy and enjoying every moment.  With the gentle breeze on his face his smiles throughout the bike ride…and telling daddy where to go.

My daughter is also very happy as my son’s joyous laugher.  We came across many parents and many were intrigued by PaPaSeat.  In UK, traditional child bike seats are installed on the back of the bike which took a lot of space.  PaPaSeat is extremely light and very attractive.  During our bike ride there we saw a Penny Farthing bicyclist!  It’s surly a great experience seeing there are bicycle enthusiasts keeping the tradition alive.
After two hours of our joyous bicycling we eagerly look forward to taking PaPaSeat to another ride.  Perhaps we can even travel with it to another country taking our entire family on a new set of adventure together.

PaPaSeat portable child bike seat review experience by Amsterdam mom & dad

Amsterdam Mom & Dad review experience with PaPaSeat portable child bike seat.

Original post in Chinese by MomPacker.com.  Translated by Mega Productions for PaPaSeat.
This review experience is made possible by MomPacker.com.  Thank you for providing Papaseat portable child bike seat for me to experience.
October in Amsterdam is late fall.  Usually there would be a lot of rain during this time of the year, however, this Saturday is sunny with light wind which is perfect time to try out PaPaSeat!

I thought my husband’s bicycle could not install PaPaSeat on his city bike, but to our amazement it works perfectly!  The height is perfect as well.
After lunch we tried PaPaSeat.  I have to admit I’m illiterate to these type of things and my husband does not understand Chinese.  However, after a few minutes working on it without instructions we were able to install PaPaSeat easily.  My bicycle already had a modern child bike seat, but my 3 year old child barely fits now.  Using PaPaSeat seems to be a good idea as a replacement, however, PaPaSeat could not be installed on my bicycle because my bicycle frame was in the way.  Because of my height, I had to put the bicycle seat all the way down which limited the space for PaPaSeat to be installed.
After installing PaPaSeat on to my husband’s bicycle we quickly got a hold of my daughter to see if she’s willing to cooperate.
After sitting on PaPaSeat she fidgeted a little.  Looked left and right and had one of the sweetest smiles and said “Let’s go!”

Putting on the safety belt requires some patience because it requires two hands to get it done.  I suggest put on the seat belt on the adult first then get on the bicycle.
Although the safety belt seemed a little excessive, but having it on gave me more peace of mind.  If the weather is cool then I think the seat belt is suitable.  But after my husband removed the seat belt I could see the sweat path of the seat belt on his shirt.  Many people on the street looked in curiosity which I think it was due to the seat belt because it’s not common.  I don’t think every dad in Holland are willing to put on.

Prepare to go!
We road to the outskirts of Amsterdam’s small forest.  The entire ride was slow and easy for about 30 minutes.  I asked if my daughter was comfortable and she noddle without any discomfort on her face.  The entire trip was as normal as it gest with her talking no stop, singling her tunes she made up or from kindergarten.  Seems like she is enjoying the ride.
We got off in the middle of the forest and there were many childing picking up pine cones and acorns and many leaves.  Since there weren’t many people around, we were not concerned that PaPaSeat will be taken away.
On our return trip home, reluctantly we said goodbye to this wonderful sunset during this wonderful fall season.  We rode though some farms and small dirt roads.  We also claimed hills and crossed a big bridge.  My daughter gripped the handle bars tightly and both feet firmly on the foot peddles.  She wasn’t scared at all.

My husband thinks PaPaSeat is very convenient but the seat belt is unnecessary.
After riding for an hour, my daughter said her butt hurts.  I think PaPaSeat is better suited for short rides.  Traditional child bike seat is still better for long bike rides due to seat back and built in safety belt.  If parents are just dropping off their child to school or work and need to ride the bicycle to work, PaPaSeat can be easily installed and removed quickly.
Personally as a parent, safety is the primary concern.  It’s important to take note of your child’s condition during long bike rides.

My daughter thinks PaPaSeat is comfortable, but after an hour she still have to hold on the handle bar.  It’s different from her usual bike seat.
If PaPaSeat is a secondary bike seat for traveling then it’s a very nice accessory.  For example if the entire is to travel to another country we don’t have to bring our own bicycle or bike seat.  We can easily rent a bicycle and use PaPaSeat.  Because many bike rental locations do not have suitable child bike seat having PaPaSeat will be very nice.
Another nice idea for PaPaSeat is when we travel to see family and friends and we want to take our daughter out but there is no child bike seat available.  This will be a perfect opportunity to use PaPaSeat.
PaPaSeat is small and light weight and can be folded and stored without much space.  It can easily fit into a luggage.  From a traveling perspective it is very good idea to travel with PaPaSeat.  Easy to use, light weight and can be folded and stored.  All sounds good to me!
